Crows Nest

Good Evening long lost friends,
The prodigal daughter returns.

Danny and I decided to have our date night here at his work viewing a concert of Big Daddy Weave. I arrived with dinner and found Danny saving a seat for me in the crows nest where all the techno geeks sit. I noticed another techno geek in the crows nest. We chatted for a while speaking of marital bliss and ups and downs of the ever troublesome differences of "mars and venus". 10 minutes before Big Daddy Weave goes on stage we have become aware of the fact that we are talking to the drummer of Big Daddy Weave!!!! YIKES!!! How cool for us. So down to earth and I am happy to say they did a splendid job of hosting a wonderful worship/concert here!

Not your normal chick flick.

I spent the better part of this morning watching Elizabethtown. Wonderful film written and directed by Cameron Crowe. I've always enjoyed his stuff. There's something about this film that dealing with the real- life death of Cameron's father that speaks to you. It speaks about grief. How to deal with the death of a loved one. There really is no right way to grieve. I loved how it showed such a range of emotion. If you have ever lost anyone close to you, it is always tragic. There are times you are uncomfortable, times you want to laugh, times you want to get mad, times you just want to empty your soul and be alone. The film explains these emotions and has a fun love story to boot. I highly recommend it to anyone. The soundtrack is typical Crowe:

First Time

After being beaten into submission by my husband, I have started a BLOG. I must say that my blog address was tricky to come by after trying 8 different "potter" lingos I finally ended up with a misspelled attempt. This offers me comfort knowing that there are others who are as addicted to JK Rowling's world as me.

I guess my first blog will be about my newest toy that keeps me company during my failing attempt to loose weight. MY IPOD SHUFFLE.
